Review: Paddletek Element Pickleball Paddle

Hey Pickle People!

I had the opportunity this past weekend to play with the Paddletek Element Paddle. This is one of the old flagship models that Paddletek has discontinued and replaced with its Genesis Model. My buddy owns a couple Elements and I had the opportunity to play a good amount of outdoor games with this paddle. I had an awesome time playing with it and I hope you find this review helpful!

Head

The head has the more old-school Paddletek Logo along along with exposed polymer core. The place this paddle really excels is the softer, more finesse/kitchen play. You really feel like you are in control of the ball when using this paddle and can optimize your dink game with great accuracy. This is by no means a power paddle, but it does have enough “pop” to hit kill shots when needed. This makes it an all-around great paddle for any situation and for any opponent you face. Some might not like the face being different finishes, but I didn’t find it to be a big issue when hitting some of my slices or spin shots.

Handle

Overall I liked the feel of the handle. I have had great experiences with the paddle grips on the Paddletek paddles and this one was no exception. All together the built feels solid and it does have some weight to it, which is nice for many players. The one thing is you cannot change the grip circumference on Amazon, but it comes standard with a 4.25” and this will work for most players

Overall Impressions/Specs

  • Very nice control both in dinks and power shots

  • Solid build feel (expected from Paddletek)

  • Great All-around paddle

Overall this is a great paddle and after a full day of use I can see why many of the pros out there used to use this paddle in many of their tournament games. This paddle makes the close game feel like you are very much in control and when you need to pick a power shot the power is always there. Now I know this is an older paddle, but I feel like it is right up there with the rest of the other all-around great paddles right now and because of its price I think this is a great paddle for all player styles and types.
