Hey what is up pickle people!

I know I do lots of reviews on the more premium paddles out there and that is not always for everyone. I decided to buy many of the highest rated beginner paddles out there and try them out to give my honest opinion on them. These are 5 Beginner Paddles that are all under $50. I found a whole bunch of paddles, but these were the ones that many people recommend as some of the best and I reviewed each of them so you can get an idea if any of them work for you. These are in no particular order and are here to just give as much information as possible! Enjoy!

NewFit Blur Graphite Paddle

This is one of the top budget paddles out there. The one interesting thing is in the hand it feels pretty light and nimble, but when you are playing with it if feels very nice in all aspects of the game and you are really able to play your game to the fullest potential both in power and finesse. I was not expecting this to be such a nice find, but I have been very happy with the paddle thus far.

This is definitely a great all around beginner paddle and I think that this paddle can really be a winner for many years to come because of its ability to play all around without too many downsides. Just remember this is more of a budget paddle, so don’t expect it to be this best in every category, but it will do just a little bit of everything for you and should complement and improve your game and you improve.

Overall I really enjoyed playing with this paddle and I think that it makes a solid beginner paddle. I think it has high level power, but as expected in a cheaper paddle it lacks in control and finesse. The paddle is an average of around 8.2 oz which is on the middle to heavier side, so be sure to keep this in mind when you are pick out paddles.

NENRENT Graphite Paddle

This is a great beginner paddle and will be perfect for those who want to go out and play. I think the power is right there with the best of them and especially for the price you can look past some of the lower points of this paddle. If you are just trying to get out there and play this is a perfect paddle and it will definitely be able to handle anything you throw at it.

Amazin' Aces Pickleball Paddle Set

I think this is a great beginner set and will do everything you need if you are just starting to get the feel for Pickleball. The paddles are solid and the balls work if you are just trying to play some casual games. After using many different paddles like the Amazin’ Aces I will always recommend a more intermediate paddle like the Bantam EX-L of the Onix Z5 because you get so much more performance out of those paddles that you won’t really feel until you use them, however, that does not mean these are completely viable paddles for some family pickleball fun. Overall these are great paddles to bring along anywhere and to introduce new players to the game.

Technical Specifications

  • Weight Average: 8.3 ounces

  • Weight Range: 8.3 ounces

  • Grip Circumference: 4 1/8" (Small)

  • Grip Style: Thin or cushion

  • Grip Manufacturer: AmazinAces

  • Grip Length: 5 1/4”

  • Paddle Length: 15 7/8”

  • Paddle Width: 8”

  • Paddle Face: Graphite

  • Core Material: Polymer Honeycomb

  • Edge Guard: 1/4” overlapping paddle face
